This is the conversation I had with the worker from what I remember:

Q: Zishan: What types of people buy these expensive Rollerblades?

A: Shawn: Well it all varies because it all depends on your needs & wants. You just can’t categorize a certain group or people because everyone buys it. From kids to young teens to adults, you know. Recently I would have young teenagers come in & purchase the higher end Rollerblades.

Q: Zishan: How come in the product tags the majority is in other languages?

A: Shawn: The market of Rollerblades is not highly demanding in Canada compared to countries in Europe. That’s why there is several other languages in the tags.

Q: Zishan: Why are the prices so cheap here for the Rollerblades compared to other stores that sell $500-$600 blades?

A: Shawn: The Rollerblades are pretty cheap now but they are actually worth well over $380 and above. The thing is the price dropped drastically because the Market of Rollerblades in Canada is not that popular compared to European countries as I just told you. Last year the Solomon Rollerblade that currently costs $249.99 was $389.99 a year ago. If you check other Sports Chek stores, you will find more expensive blades. Try the Sports Chek downtown and another store downtown that specializes in Rollerblades.

Q: Zishan: How much Rollerblades do you sell a week or in general?

A: Shawn: Right now the sales aren’t that good because the weather is changing but people still buy it. I can’t give you a number; I don’t keep track of it ha ha. Overall they still do sell but not that much compared to the past. Once a customer buys a Rollerblade it lasts them so long that they don't need another one. It hurts the companies sales but serious Rollerbalder's will come in and get a new pair once in awhile to maintain the look and feel of it.

THAT’S ABOUT IT & I TOLD HIM I HAD TO GET GOING SINCE HE HAD A JOB TO BE DONE. I’M JUST GOING TO TRY TO TALK TO AS MUCH PEOPLE AS I CAN & EVEN GET A PAIR OF ROLLERBLADES OFF MY UNCLE TO USE. THIS HAS BEEN SO MUCH FUN, I LOVE EXPLORING AND FINDING OUT ABOUT STUFF HA HA.
